A huge process is going on in the world: Globalisation!

 

As communication is the most important factor in any process (80 %), Odat encourages effective global communication.

In the international/intercultural field we provide for example strong tools for managers to work successfully with their international teams.

 

Being successful in one culture is no guarantee for being successful in another.

Four decades ago a well-known multinational encountered difficulties when they sent their best managers from the USA to Germany, China ect. Most of them completely failed!

Scientific research (prof. dr. G. Hofstede) brought up very interesting cultural dimensions, which provided very strong managing tools.

Leadership itself was also subject of many studies which provided many psychological insights and skills. Managers who are aware of these insights know how to push the ‘right buttons’ of  their employees, from any culture!

More over, in the light of human evolution, it is a fact that collaboration is the magic word to be succesful. Global collaboration is next, and needs of course knowledge of intercultural communication to avoid intercultural miscommuni-cation.

For this reason we created an online course about intercultural communication, so everybody can learn about it - you can find it in the margin at the left.

After 10 years of training ‘leadership and motivation’ and 10 years of training intercultural communication, Yvonne Verhoeff now combines this knowledge in a special personal coaching or group training for foreign managers working in the Netherlands: Leading the Dutch Successfully!
